Join us to learn about the life and legacy of an inspiring mystic and visionary!
Dr. Howard Thurman was a guide and mentor for Martin Luther King, Jr and many other leaders of the Civil Rights Movement and beyond. His work speaks directly to today’s personal and social issues, highlighting the powerful connection between spirituality and social transformation.
This special introductory session will feature excerpts from the video “Conversations with Howard Thurman,” and our discussion will consider the profound relevance of his wisdom for the present day.
This is a free public event and all are welcome.
Presenter: Dr. Liza J. Rankow is an interfaith minister and the founding director of OneLife Institute. She regularly teaches classes on Thurman in community and academic settings, and is producer and co-editor of the CD collection, “The Living Wisdom of Howard Thurman.”
