Teen Weekend Meditation Retreat at Bear Creek Dharma Center APRIL 28th & 29th March 19, 2012Posted by ebmc in Classes, Community DHARMA, Community EVENTS, Dharma, Dharma Resources, Kids.
Teen meditation weekend: A weekend overnight retreat for teens age 15-19. This teen weekend will consist of sitting meditation practice, walking mindfulness practice, working meditation in the form of shared meal preparation, small group discussion, and free time for music, swimming, and going for walks (there may even be a bon fire too!)
This over night weekend retreat is suitable for teens who have never practiced meditation but are interested in exploring Dharma and mindfulness practice. Thorough instruction will be offered, and teens will have one on one time with the teachers to discuss or ask questions about practice. It will be ideal for teens who have practiced meditation or attended other retreats and want to rejuvenate their practice. We will offer instruction relevant to their experience level.
Taught by Nichole Proffitt, and others.
All teens should bring:
-sleeping bag, pillow or blankets
-swimsuit (there is a swimming pool)
-notebook and pen
Cost: $60 which includes three meals (dinner, breakfast, and lunch). No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
We hope to support the Dharma and the emotional and spiritual growth of all teens, so we welcome teens of all social, racial, spiritual, sexual orientation, and economic backgrounds.
