Making the Most of Formal Thought SKM402
Saturday, May 19
10:00 AM-4:45 PM
Includes vegetarian buffet lunch.
“Formal thought” includes both subliminal and conscious conceptual thought. Both these kinds of thought can become tangled and even dysfunctional. In this workshop, we explore how to reorient formal thought to improve mental performance and make our mind a friendlier place.
Cost: $80
Instructor: Barr Rosenberg
Prerequisite: A wish to increase the effectiveness of thought.
Beauty in Space and Time KNR422
May 25-26
Friday, 7-9 PM
Saturday, 10 AM-5 PM
“Our reality can open to a realm where time, space, and knowledge are undivided, without beginning or end. Awareness can become familiar with this unity… Then we begin to explore avenues towards beautiful new realms.”
Tarthang Tulku, Mandala Gardens.
The experience of natural beauty can inspire us to look more deeply at the world. Like a bee entering a flower to extract its nectar, awareness can learn to enter each moment in ways that draw nourishment. Meditations help awareness to embrace time itself free of projections and interpretations.
Cost: $95
Instructors:
Donna Morton and Santosh Philip
Based on “Beauty in Space and Time” in Tarthang Tulku’s Mandala Gardens.
