Beautiful spacious 3 bedroom house right near Lake Merritt in Oakland seeking a housemate for a room that is available as early as June 15th. The location is absolutely amazing (if you look outside the porch, you can see the lake to the left!), convenient (7 minute walk to bart, 15 minute walk to Grand Lake area, close to restaurants, grocery stores, local businesses, etc), $650 rent, $333.33 deposit and usually under $50 in utilities depending on the season. The house has hardwood floors, a bathtub,a nice stoop, potential garden space (if you talk to neighbors), compost, internet, cheap coin operated laundry and is the bottom house of a triplex. Also, there’s a parking spot available for use.

The Room:
It’s huge! Big windows, lots of light, if you lean the right way you could even see the lake! The closet is a decent size and there are nice hardwood floors. One wall is painted kinda teal/greenish blue (but you can repaint it or the previous tenant can repaint back to the original color for you). The room has really good energy, calm, peaceful, and productive. It also feels far away from the rest of the house/building so ideal for privacy.

We are two roomates, who are queer and people of color friendly working with various non profit/community work and are looking for someone who is respectful and comfortable living in this space. We are looking for someone who is clean, tidy – will contribute their share in household chores, values direct communication, healthy boundaries, is friendly, and vaules creating a comfortable living environment for everyone.

Utilities: usually not more than $50/mo
