Sacrificial offerings of modern bodies, ancient rhythms and a dance for 52 more years of life. Come witness multi-media performance art and participate with an incredible cast of international women collaborating with nature, confronting mortality, impermanence and diversity.
Deconstructing the evolution of the Piñata, and re-discovering its indigenous roots, artistic director, Liz Boubion is developing the 4th performance of a year-long process in preparation for Dec. 2012. This Friday is an interactive ritual performance for 2012 gathering momentum with your support and inquiry. With this exploration of gas cans, garden hoses, wind, stone, water and clay, La Piñata is in preparation for the ending of the Mayan synchronometer…facilitated discussion afterward****.
