Monthly Transformational Teachings June 5, 2014

Posted by ebmc in Community EVENTS.

Dana Cafe is a monthly gathering in Oakland California offering transformational teachings at no cost to participants. Each month on 1st Sunday Dana Cafe invites different social change educators, teachers and facilitators from various arts and healing traditions to lead a session.

Our monthly classes are offered for Dana (give as you able and inspired) and there is no set fee to attend. On June 1st, come celebrate and drum in community as we explore the essence of creative source and embody the free flow of our purest expressions. From the beginning of humankind, the drum has represented universal heart beat and connection. It has been used as a medium for communication, spiritual practice, celebration, ceremony and healing. Gathering around the drum is a way of exploring our relationship to self, the world around us and the healing harmonizing effects that simply being present with the natural rhythm of flow unfolding has on the body, mind and spirit.

Come engage in rhythm games and guided activities aimed at tapping into our innate ability to connect with sacred flow. The evening will be topped off with an open freestyle jam! All levels. No experience necessary. All genders welcome and encouraged.

BRING YOUR DRUMS! Bring extras! Bring your hands and voices! Bring shakers, bells, blocks, rattles, your willingness and your heart songs!
